Definition

A broken collar bone refers to the fracture of the clavicle (collar bone or the Akshkasthi) that connects the breast bone to the shoulder. This bone may have a fracture due to multiple reasons and may require medical attention.1

According to Ayurveda, broken collar bone is considered under the aegis of Asthi bhagna (Asthi-bone, bhagna-breakage). Ayurveda considers the bone tissue as a whole and does not differentiate the pathogenesis and treatment as per any individual bone2
