Definition

Anorgasmia refers to the condition where a person is not able to achieve an orgasm during a sexual act in spite of receiving stimulation. This causes distress and leads to frustration. While anorgasmia is commonly seen in women, men too can have the condition. An occasional incidence of not achieving orgasm cannot be termed as Anorgasmia but when the problem is consistent, it requires medical attention.1

As per Ayurveda, anorgasmia leading to disinterest in a sexual act can be considered as a part of klaibya (sexual dysfunction). Klaibya causes disinterest in sexual activity and loss of desire as it is not a pleasurable act for the sufferer.2
